For me, Hamlet appears in the guise of a hero, with high principles and qualities of a person that only outstanding people who have made a great contribution to the development of mankind can possess. Humanism, bravery, responsibility, self-denial, beauty and strength, all these qualities are inherent in Hamlet. Looking at him, I am inspired by how a person can combine such a large number of qualities. But fate has its own plans for everyone (at least my thinking of a fatalist makes me think so).
And so, she did with the main character. The tragic events that Hamlet met: the death of his beloved father, the sudden marriage of his mother, the truth about the Father’s killer. All this, one by one, drop by drop, step by step, affects the main character, his attitude to his life. Everything is just like in real life, although it is more likely to some extent the real life lived together with the hero of the novel. A series of tough events that radically changed the life of the protagonist is changing himself. And Hamlet is changing, under the heavy burden of his rock, he is changing and choosing the path of revenge.
Looking at him, I think that it would be difficult for me to carry such a load and think that a person who is guilty of the suffering that has been received, walks very close by and is thinking of new deceit. In such difficult situations, it is difficult to maintain your true “I”. Returning to the main character and work, I can admit that it is difficult to talk about the right of actions and the chosen path, the path of revenge. I think that in such conditions, most people find it difficult to remain themselves. Each of us has his own way and his own reasons for certain actions, like the main character.
One thing I can say with confidence - the tragedy of Hamlet struck me to the core.
