My home is not smart. It does not make me coffee in the morning or switch on light in my room. The smartest thing in my house is me.

The main disadvantage is a price of smart home. It is so expensive and difficult to use. Only rich people could build houses with smart home system.

Honestly, I like when it’s all under my control. This is no exception. A smart house has a life of its own. It workable depends on the availability of internet and electricity in the house.

People who are not good with computers will not want to live in a smart home since it is completely work on modern Internet-based automated technologies. They would not be able to manage the system by themselves.

But we live in Russia, and as you know Russia is a country where anything can happen. Maybe in Europe there are no interruptions with electricity. But our country sometimes has electricity problems. And it is better to rely only on yourself. Moreover, they are vulnerable to being hacked because smart houses are based on the internet.

I also think that a smart home may have access to various information of you (any notes or records) that could be used against you.

As stated earlier, a smart home is connected to the internet. It means that strangers will have the opportunity to follow the life of inhabitants of the house. This means that unknown person can see every move we make. The majority of people would feel uncomfortable knowing that someone may be watching.

My first education is a specialist in social communications and an advertiser, that’s why I understand that the middle class people and the lower classes would be losers because they're never going to be able to afford the smart house. Other losers will be the owners of smart home, who at any moment can become the heroes of the reality show.

I would not want to have a smart house. It's enough for me that I have some modern inventions such as a washing machine and a dishwasher, an iron, a hair dryer and a vacuum cleaner. By the way, our grandmothers didn’t have these "smart" devices at the beginning of the XX century.

Finally, I need to feel comfortable, normal and feel most like yourself. And let me know that in my house I’ll feel right at home.
