Nowadays there are lots of ways of getting education. Some people believe that homeschooling is an excellent way to study, however others are sure that there is no good in such education. In my essay I am going to show advantages and disadvantages of studying at home and try to draw some conclusions.
On the one hand, I am strongly convinced that homeschooling is a great way of education. First of all, you decide when and where to study. For example, if you are an early riser you can do your task in the morning, or if you are a “night owl” you can study at night. Secondly, you can work at your own speed and pay more attention to the rules, tasks or topics, which are more difficult for you. Moreover, studying at home gives you independence, because you can rely only on information you find, not on information given by your teachers. You can compare information from different sources and it makes you responsible, because you should find correct information to be good at different spheres. Also, you can choose a way of explanation you like, which can help you to understand material better.
On the other hand, many people are sure that homeschooling does not have benefits. They think so because at school you can ask your teachers everything you do not understand, while at home you can rely only on information you have, even if it is wrong. Besides, for a lazy person such education is dangerous, because he or she has no deadlines and they do not have responsibility to do things on time. That is why people can lose valuable skills and knowledge, which are necessary and useful for their life and future. In addition, it must be said that studying at school teaches children to communicate with other people and be a part of society.
In conclusion, I would like to say that homeschooling can help people to be disciplined and be responsible for everything you do, while other people disagree with it. In my opinion, studying at home has both advantages and disadvantages. However, so many men, so many minds.
