There are many countries in the world, and each country has its unique culture. And the same goes for the families. Families all around the world are different, and it is very interesting to learn their traditions and features.
For example, we know a lot about Russian families. They are usually nuclear, and people usually have one or two children. In Russia it is common for people to keep in touch with their extended family. People often visit each other and gather together on holidays to celebrate.
American families are quite different. They are nuclear as well, and most of them have not more than two or three children, but family members are usually not as close to each other as in Russia. They gather together for celebrations, but not that often. Also, it is very common for parents and grandparents to help their adult children and grandchildren in Russia, and you can hardly ever see that in the USA.
A family which is very different from the ones above is a Japanese family. Traditional family in Japan is extended, so many generations live together and are very close to each other. Family is extremely important for Asian people, so they always put family first. Children are taught to respect the elders from an early age. Usually, parents decide what their kids will do when they are grown, and children follow their parents’ lead.
All in all, there is a huge amount of different families with their own traditions, and all of them are extremely interesting, as a family represents the culture of the country or even the region.
