Hi, Angela

Kasia is one of my best friends, so of course I know her very well. She’s 22 and she’s just finished economics at university, but she doesn’t have a job yet and I’m sure she would be interested in going to the UK. Her parents are both doctors, and she has two younger brothers. She gets on very well with them and they are a very close family.

Kasia’s an intelligent girl and very hard-working. She can be quite shy at first, but when she gets to know you she’s incredibly friendly. She loves children – she often looks after her brothers – so she has a lot of experience and she’s also responsible.

In her free time she likes going to the cinema, listening to music and she’s also very good at photography – she always has her camera with her. She’s really independent and happy to do things on her own, so you won’t have to worry about taking her to places.

The only problem with Kasia is that she’s a bit forgetful… she sometimes loses things like her keys or her phone. Also, to be honest her English isn’t fantastic, but I’m sure she’ll improve very quickly. I think Mike and Sally will love her.

Hi, Angela

Olga is one of my best friends. She’s 23 years old, and she graduated from an engineering university last month, but she doesn’t have a job yet. She has a very good and friendly family. Her parents are pensioners, and they mostly travel to different countries. She also has an older sister who’s 34, and she’s a stomatologist at a prestigious clinic.

I love my friend for her brilliant character. She is very kind and polite. She is a person, who is always ready to help if I need it. She always tries to be funny and can make me laugh when I feel very sad. In her spare time, she likes to play guitar and sing for her friends. But Olga has a bad trait, too. Sometimes she is very stubborn. It's pretty hard to argue with her. But we try to strike a compromise. I think Mike and Sally will love her.

The University is the largest scientific and educational center in the north-west of Russia, is a member of the Eurasian Association of Universities and the Association of Leading Universities of Russia. The University was established on the basis of the Arkhangelsk State Technical University.

The rector of the University is Professor, Doctor of Philosophy Elena Vladimirovna Kudryashova. The University campus in Arkhangelsk has more than 30 buildings of different sizes and number of storeys. Scientific work is carried out at NARFU both in the traditional branches of the university related to the forestry, pulp and paper and oil and gas industries, and in new directions defined by the Arctic specialization of the university.
