Hello, my name is Kirill. I am from the city of Novouralsk, which is located in Russia, Sverdlovsk region. I am 25 years old. I live with my mom and brother. My mom works at a factory, my brother works as a cook in a kindergarten. I work as an additional education teacher at a school.
At home I often read historical sources, works of art, scientific literature. I really like to read about the history of other countries, so I learn a lot of new and interesting things about the customs, culture and life of other people.
I am fond of football, history, athletics. I am studying at Togliatti State University for the specialty "Historical and cultural tourism". I chose my specialty because I have loved history since childhood. Even at school, I realized that I wanted to work in this direction. I have always been interested in interesting facts about famous personalities, significant dates and their significance in our modern life.
I think it is very important to study history in English, because English is an international language. Most of the historical sources will require knowledge of this language. Also, knowledge of this language will remove the barrier in negotiations with colleagues from other countries.
Knowledge of English gives us a wonderful opportunity to read books, watch Western historical films in the original, and this is very good, because translation does not always give complete information.
