Тема: Meeting new people. Present Simple.

Цель: сформировать коммуникативную компетенцию обучающихся на основе речевых и грамматических структур по теме «School life». Сформировать представление о времени Present Simple.


Задачи урока:

Образовательная: совершенствовать умения и навыки говорения и чтения; познакомить учащихся с лексическими единицами по теме «Школа»; дать представление о настоящем времени глагола (Present Simple) .

Воспитательная: научиться слушать друг друга, работать в группе; воспитать интерес к английскому языку ; мотивировать учеников к самостоятельному изучению иностранного языка и применению его в коммуникативных ситуациях;

Развивающая: развитие интереса к предмету; развитие у детей внимания, логического мышления, умения вести беседу; развитие желания к получению большей информации по изучаемой теме; развивать память и внимание учащихся; развивать умение вести беседу по заданной теме; комментировать те или иные факты, описанные в книге, устанавливать логическую последовательность основных фактов текста, определять тему, содержание по заголовку.

Ход урока:

I. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls.

Pupils: Good morning, teacher.

Teacher: I’m glad to see you.

Pupils: We are glad to see you too.

Teacher: Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson. Answer my questions, please. What date is it today?

Pupil 1: Today is the 22th of October.

Teacher: Fine. What season is it now?

Pupil 2: It’s autumn.

Teacher: You are right. What’s the weather like today?

Pupil 3: It’s frosty, windy and cold.

Teacher: Thank you. Andrey, do you like autumn?

Pupil 4: Yes, I do.

Teacher: What can you do in autumn?

Pupil 4: I can walk with my friends and ride a bycicle.

Teacher: Well done! Thank you. Today we will speak about school, about first day at shool and we also learn Present Simple Teness.

Teacher: I’d like to ask you a question: Do you like to go to school or not? Why?

Natasha, answer, please.

Pupil 1: I like to go to school because it’s fun.

Teacher: Fine! And you, Roma?

Pupil 2: I like to go to school because I like to study.

Teacher: Excellent! Danil, Do you like to go to school and why?

Pupil 3: I like to go to school because I like to visit my friends.

Teacher: Good. And what about you, Masha?

Pupil 4: I don’t like to go to school because it’s difficult for me to get up early.

Teacher: Well done.

Teacher: Now I want to speak about your first day at school. Did you like it?

Pupil 2: Yes, I met with Igor. He gave me a candy and we sat together at one desk.

Teacher: Very interesting. Thank you, Ivan. Natasha? Can you remember when you met your best friends? Was it at primary school?

Pupil 3: Yes. My best friend is Alice. I met her in the third grade, when she came in our class from another school.

Teacher: Ok, thank you for your answers. Now I give you a text and a card with names. The episode shows how two friends first met. Read the story and answer who the two friends are?

TEXT:

Mrs Dunn: Sonia, thi is Trish Calloway. It’s her first day today. She is going to be in class 9D with you. Could you take her to the classroom, please?

Sonia: Yes, Mrs Dunn.

Sonia: Where do you live, Trish?

Trish: I live in Black Street. Do you know it?

Sonia: Yes ,I know it. My friend, Martin, lives near there.


Trish: Does he go to this school, too?

Sonia: Yes, he does. But hedoesn’t in our class.

John (thinking): Who’s that girl with Sonia? Maybe she is new here.

Martin: What answer have you got for number one, John?

John: Pardon,Martin?

Martin: Number one. What’s the capital of Argentina? I think it’s Buenos Aires.

Martin: What about number two? I don’t know answer, so I haven’t got anything for that

John: Oh, what’s the question again?

Martin: Number two. What’s the longest river in Europe? Come on, John . Pay attention. Mr Graham is looking at us.

Teacher: a) We use the present simple to talk about things in general. We are not thinking only about the present. We use it to say that something happens all the time or repeatedly, or that something is true in general. It is not important whether the action is happening at the time of speaking:

-The earth goes round the sun.

-Nurses look after patient in hospitals.

-In Britain most of the shops close at 5:30 p.m.



Remember hat we say he/she/it-s. Don’t forget the s:

-I work in a bank. Barry works in a shop.

b) We use do/does to make questions and negative sentences:

Do I/we/you/they work? I/we/you/they don’t work

Does he/she/it work? He/she/it doesn’t work

-Excuse me, do you speak English?

-Rice doesn’t grow in Britain.

Teacher: Do you undertand what I’m talking about?
