Модуль 1 SOCIALISING (Общение)
Lesson 1 (___)
Тема: Reading & Vocabulary.
Цели: осваивать во всех видах речевой деятельности новые лексические единицы по теме «Характер человека. Язык мимики и жестов»;
научить слушать, читать тексты, рассказывать о способах начать разговор, о языке мимики и жестов, членах семьи и родственниках, конфликтах и способах разрешения, описывать и сравнивать внешность и характер людей;
развивать умения во всех видах речевой деятельности;
развивать логическое мышление;
воспитать нравственные ценности и ориентиры;
воспитать культуру поведения через освоение норм этикета.
Активная лексика: opportunity, blush, approach, fancy, bright, benefit, develop, avoid, optimistic, sensitive, patient, easy-going, sociable, honest, reliable, stubborn, selfish, shy.
Оборудование: УМК "Spotlight"- 8, под редакцией Ю.Е. Ваулиной, Дж. Дули, аудиодополнение, доска, презентация.

ПОДГОТОВКА К ВОСПРИЯТИЮ ИНОЯЗЫЧНОЙ РЕЧИ (ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННАЯ ЧАСТЬ УРОКА)
Greeting 1. Беседа.
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
P-s: Good morning, teacher.
T: I’m glad to see you.
P-s: We are glad to see you too.
T: Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson. Answer my questions, please. What date is it today?

Aim 2. Сообщение темы и цели урока.
Учащиеся просматривают название модуля: SOCIALISING и подбирают к нему русский эквивалент (Общение).
T: Let’s start our lesson. Look at the blackboard, give the explanation of the proverb and try to formulate the topic of our lesson. “Appearancesaredeceitful”
P: Лицом хорош, да душой непригож или Внешность обманчива.Sometimes people look nice and kind but when you get them to know better and closer you find out that you are mistaken about them and their character is not so nice. Some people just pretend to be good.
T: Well, today we are going to talk about person’s appearance and traits of character. And I think, the best epigraph of our lesson would be “So many men, so many characters” I guess, this lesson will help you define priorities in life and understand that love, patience, kindness and self control are features of a successful person. And I wish you to become one.
Warming-up 3. Введение в иноязычную атмосферу.
T: Read each sentence describing a personality type (for example, “A person who is happy”). Then choose the word that describes that personality type (“cheerful” in this example).

Reading 1. Поисковое и изучающее чтение (статья психологического характера). Predicting text content.
а) Pre-reading. Этап подготовки к чтению. Ex1, p10.
T: Look at the picture and title. How do you think what the text will be about? Let’s write suggestions on the board.
P: The title of the text means finding out what people are like by getting to know them. To start a conversation with someone I don’t know, I would introduce myself and ask the other person what their name is and what they do.
После выполнения задания на доске записаны слова. Учитель просит учащихся объяснить значение слов без словаря. Запись слов в словарь.
T: Explain the words in bold.

T: Listen and match each person to the adjectives that best describe each. Say your answers out in class and say why you chose that adjective.

Speaking 5. Развитие умений диалогической речи – диалог-расспрос. Describing ourselves using adjectives. Ex8, p11.
а) Учащиеся дают описание/анализ своего характера (микродиалоги на базе новой лексики).
T: Let’s work in pairs. Which of the adjectives in Ex.5, 6 best describe you? Is there a quality you don’t have but would like to have? Role play exchanges like the example given.
P1: I’m optimistic and easy-going. I’d like to be more stubborn. And you?
P2: I’m sensitive and shy. I’d like to be sociable.
b) Учащиеся, используя полученные знания на уроке, определяют чувства и эмоции, которые переданы картинками с действиями. Ex9, p11.
T: Do you know what does “body language” mean?
P: Gestures and movements of the body that communicate something.
T: What feelings do the actions in the picture 1-8 suggest? Choose from the list. Make sentences. Let’s read example sentences. Work in pairs.

T:Say three things you found interesting in the text. How could they help you when you meet new people?
P: To break the ice you can smile at the new person. Then, you will feel more comfortable speaking to a new person. It is also a good idea to have something interesting to talk about ― you should develop a passion! You should also develop good listening skills and show that you are interested in what other people have to say.
